A Clear Choice for America's Comeback Team
|Name||2012 Presidential Election|
|Candidates||Republican Mitt Romney, Democrat Barack Obama (i)|
|Outcome||Barack Obama is reelected thanks to master deception|
The 2012 Presidential Election was be held on November 6, 2012 between the failed incumbent, Barack Obama, and a proven, heroic leader, former Governor Mitt Romney. Their running mates, respectively, are incumbent Vice President Joe Biden and Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan. Unfortunately most Americans were unable to accept the fact that they were wrong in 2008 and voted to reelect President Obama. This spells doom for the economy of the United States and the security of the world.
A Failed Leader Edit
As a candidate for President, Barack Obama promised to "heal the planet" and "slow the rise of the oceans." He also said that he would "cut the deficit in half by the end of [his] first term." Other promises from candidate Obama include not raising taxes on families making less than $250,000 a year, and allowing everyone to keep their health care plan if they chose to. Unfortunately, his signature health care plan, Obamacare, raises taxes on middle-class families 18 different times and forces them to buy a certain health care package. The annual federal deficit today is in fact larger than it was when Obama took office, going from 458 billion dollars to 1.33 trillion. On top of that, the number of Americans out of work, the unemployment rate, gas prices, the national debt, debt per-person, misery index, average college tuition, worker health insurance costs, amount of food stamp recipients, and number of Americans in poverty have all increased while home values and global competitiveness have gone down.
Republican Primary Edit

Democratic Primary Edit
Being the incumbent President, Barack Obama had almost no competition for the primary of his own party, and there were no fellow Democrats challenging him nationally. However, he almost lost the primary elections in Arkansas, Kentucky, and West Virginia, in which his one candidate was a Tennessee convict.
Attacks On Mitt Romney Edit
Even before Governor Romney clinched the GOP Nomination, the Obama 2012 Campaign released vicious attacks. They called him "out of touch" and began running false ads about his experience at his former company, Bain Capital. Obama accused Romney of outsourcing jobs, which the Washington Post and the non-partisan Politifact.com and FactCheck.org have labeled as false. The President didn't stop there though, as he began personal attacks, even mocking Romney for singing "America The Beautiful." Following that, they accused Romney of being a "felon" even though it's Obama who has a history of smoking pot. Later in the campaign, a pro-Obama super PAC called Priorities USA blamed Romney for a woman's death, and the Obama campaign lied about knowing the details. President Obama failed to cease with false, personal attacks, which is why election experts say he had run the more negative campaign, trying to define Romney as a fundamentally bad person. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid went so far as to accuse Romney of not paying any taxes for four years. Of course, this is false and the Governor actually gave over a million dollars more to charity than President Obama.
Barack Obama redefined lying starting at the first Presidential debate, where he asserted that Governor Romney wanted to raise taxes on the middle class and cut education just so he could cut taxes for the rich by 5 trillion dollars. This of course, is completely false. When it was clear that the President had lost, the next day he took Romney's pledge to slightly cut PBS as an attack on Big Bird. It seems as though the Obama campaign has no shame in firing nonsensical attacks, as they released an ad accusing the Governor of never hugging his trash man, not even once.
Because President Obama has no business experience, and Romney has led a very successful career, the Democrats decided to attack Romney's wealth, demonizing him for his money. They claimed he didn't care about poor people, even though he donates millions of dollars to charity every year and took $90 thousand out of his own campaign to give to Hurricane Sandy victims.
Selection of Paul Ryan Edit
On August 11, 2012, Mitt Romney officially announced that Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin would be his running mate and potentially the Vice President. This declaration came after the news had been leaked the night before. About an hour later, the Obama campaign had already released an attack ad, claiming that Paul Ryan was anti-women, anti-elderly, anti-veterans, anti-students, and anti-Middle Class families without explaining which of his policies specifically hurt these groups in particular. It's notable that Obama claims Ryan happens to be bad for key demographics in the 2012 election. The attacks evidently did not work, however, as the Romney campaign received a bump in the polls after choosing the man who many call the intellectual leader of the Republican Party.
A Clear Choice Edit
Americans have already seen the effects of an Obama Presidency, but they have the choice of turning things around. At Bain Capital, Romney's investments helped start companies like Staples, Sport Authority, Steel Dynamics, and many more, resulting in over 100,000 jobs. When Romney retired from the company in February 1999, he was charged with the tax of running the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. He faced an enormous budget deficit and a scandal but turned that around into a surplus. Following, the success of the Olympics, Romney was elected the governor of Massachusetts, where he turned a $3 billion debt into a $700 million surplus, without raising taxes once. The decision is up to America to choose whether they want a man who has created more debt or a man who has experience eliminating debt.
The first night of the Republican National Convention was canceled due to Hurricane Isaac. One the night when the convention actually started, attendees and viewers watched rousing speeches from Governor Bob McDonnell, who explained that states with Republican Governors are doing better than states with Democratic Governors, to Rick Santorum talking about family values, to incredible speeches from Governor Nikki Haley and Texas Senate Candidate Ted Cruz, to an energizing keynote from Governor Chris Christie. As the Convention progressed, Ann Romney spoke about why she fell in love with her husband, Susana Martinez described her childhood and why she switched parties, and Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney accepted their nominations to be the next Vice President and President.
Those who were in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Democratic National Convention watched a much different series of speeches. They witnessed Democrats blatantly pander to women, an irrelevant Sandra Fluke talk about why she needs free contraception,, speeches from three different actresses, a speech from Elizabeth Warren, who falsely claims to be native American, and Bill Clinton tell a host of lies.
Also at the DNC, Democrats removed pro-Israel language and every mention of God from their platform. After pressure from the American people, they were forced to undo their changes, even thought the majority of delegates voted to keep it.
