My Dream Edit

Ultimately I know that one day, I will hold public office, hopefully in the U.S. Congress. During my time there, I'd like to accomplish the following things:

1. Make sure that every other member of Congress HATES me after I continually propose a bill to cut our own salary until they are forced to pass it by their constituents.
2. Never abandon my principles, even if it costs me an election.
3. Stand up to Washington insiders.
4. Fight for the issues I outline below.

On The Issues Edit

Abortion: Murder is already illegal, so why is this form of murder still practiced? Given the 6 biological characteristics of life, I understand that a fetus is a human being.
Afghanistan: A U.S. presence must be maintained in Afghanistan to help fight the war on terror and bring the Middle East to peace.
American Values: I believe that patriotism, hard work, unwavering faith, and strong families are the core building blocks of this great nation.
Constitutional Freedom: Government's prime objective is to defend the people from others, not to trample the Constitution to protect us from ourselves.
Don't Ask, Don't Tell: Despite being a Conservative against gay marriage, I believe that DADT was a discriminatory policy, and I'm glad it's been repealed.
Economy: The government needs to get its fiscal house in order by cutting wasteful spending and cutting taxes for ALL Americans. Obama's stimulus has not and will not work.
Education: Since the establishment of the Federal Department of Education, our math scores have gone down. Clearly this dept. isn't working. Education is best when left to the local governments.
Energy Independence: It astonishes me that anyone would prefer to buy oil from others when we can drill here for cheaper costs and less war.
Environment: Yes, this is important, but each state has their own EPA, so a federal one is useless and a waste of money.
Execution: Being 100% pro-life I am against any unnecessary unnatural death intentionally caused by humans. Only God can determine the time of death.
Foreign Aide: Foreign aide should have ceased to Libya years ago but aide to Iran is vital in receiving classified intelligence from their government.
Hate Crimes: Women in pregnancies, disabled veterans, and homosexuals should each be added to protection against hate crimes.
Health Care: The purchasing of health care for an individual is between that person and their doctor. The government should not interfere, and it should certainly not force anyone to buy a certain plan.
Immigration: America is a country built by legal immigrants, and in order to allow the brightest and most innovative legal immigrants into our nation, we must secure the border and deport as many illegals as possible.
Iran: Iran must be taken as a serious threat because they are only months away from obtaining a nuclear weapon which they've sworn to use against Israel and the United States.
Iraq: Withdrawing troops from Iraq is a mistake. Now Iran can become the dominating force in Iraq and virtually have control of the Middle East from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean through their ally Syria.
Israel: This state is America's greatest ally in the Middle East. We must stand with Israel and help them in their struggle for peace.
Political Correctness: If you have something to say, say it. I'll do the same.
Same-Sex Marriage: The argument here isn't whether or not to "legalize" gay marriage. Gays to want to get "gay married" they want to get "married". The argument is whether or not to alter the dictionary definition of marriage, and we should not. I have nothing personal against homosexuals.
Second Amendment: The Constitution calls for the right to bare arms. Period.
